Tour Advance Information Request

Hello,
Thank you to you and your committee for hosting an official Portraits of Honour event.  We know your committee has worked hard to prepare a meaningful opportunity to bring your community together to remember, honour and celebrate our Canadian Forces and our fallen heroes. 

As we prepare to bring the Portraits of Honour mural to your event, we require some advance information that our Tour Team will require to successfully attend your event.

Following are some questions.  Please take a moment to answer them and send us back an email so we can ensure that we have everything we need to meet your expectations.

Merci à vous et à votre comité pour organiser un événement officiel des portraits honorifiques. On sait que vous avez travaillé dur à préparer une occasion significative pour réunir votre communauté et pour souvenir, honorer, et célébrer nos forces canadiennes et nos troupes perdues.

Pendant qu’on se prépare pour votre événement, il y a des informations d’avance que notre équipe de la tournée en a besoin pour assister à votre événement.

Ci-dessous sont des questions. Veuillez prendre quelques minutes pour y répondre et envoyez-nous un courriel pour qu’on puisse vérifier qu’on a tout ce qu’il y en a besoin pour satisfaire vos attentes.

      The trailer is 13’6’ high x 8’6.5” wide (closed) 18’ wide (open) x 53’ long.  (See trailer specification sheet)

    5. Are we to go straight to the location or are you requesting that we stage outside of town and have an escort to the final location?  horizontal

  2. TIMING QUESTIONS:
    1. What time do you require the trailer to be completely set up and operational?
    2. What are your event timings?  For example "Public viewing at 10am - 5pm, Ceremony at 1pm, Dinner at 7pm, Program at 8pm and Entertainment from 9pm - 11pm".
    3. Are there restrictions on the timing of our load-in or load-out?
  3. TRAILER REQUIREMENTS:
    1. Will power be available onsite? horizontal

      If so, please indicate how many Amps, if you know,
      and distance from trailer to power source
      If there is no power, the trailer can run off of it’s onboard generator.
    2. Will you require the trailer to be used as a stage for a ceremony? horizontal
    3. Will you require use of our podium horizontal
    4. Will you require use of our sound system? horizontal
  4. APPEARANCE REQUESTS:
    1. Do you have any private receptions, dinners or events that you wish Dave and his wife Penny to attend? horizontal
      1. There will be a Tour Team staff of ten travelling with the POH Tour.  If your event involves a meal, will you be able to provide them with tickets to attend? horizontal

        If yes, our Tour Supervisor will confirm with you the exact number (ie. the drivers may be sleeping).
    2. If Dave is attending a reception, dinner or ceremony please answer the following:
      1. Are there any other invited special guests? (names, titles, organizations)
      2. Are the any special Kin guests invited (ie Governors, Life Members, etc)
      3. Please indicate who Dave will be sitting with (names, titles, organizations)
    3. Would you like Dave Sopha to speak at your event? horizontal
